JC is the Casting Director at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and a freelance stage director. He has cast productions out of Chicago and New York over the past decade including the Broadway productions of Linda Vista, Pass Over, and The Minutes. As a freelance director his credits include The Nerd, The All Night Strut!, Murder for Two, Irving Berlin’s I Love a Piano, The Devil’s Music: The Life and Blues of Bessie Smith, The Doyle & Debbie Show, Forever Plaid (Milwaukee Rep), Waiting: A Song Cycle (The World’s Stage/Cherry Lane, NYC), and Murder for Two (Merrimack Rep). He holds an MFA in Directing from Western Illinois University, and is a proud member of SDC and the Casting Society of America.

CASTING
As Casting Director at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, and previously at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, JC has cast productions out of Chicago and New York City over the past decade. Highlights include the world premiere Steppenwolf productions of Tracy Letts' The Minutes (on Broadway in 2022) and Linda Vista (also Broadway and Los Angeles), The Doppelganger (an international farce) starring Rainn Wilson, and Antoinette Nwandu's Pass Over, which was filmed at Steppenwolf by Spike Lee and made its debut at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival before tranfering to Broadway in 2021. JC was nominated for a 2022 Artios Award for his casting of Duchess! Duchess! Duchess! by Vivian J. O. Barnes. He is a proud member of the Casting Society of America.
